Avanti Live Launch
Avanti

The Italians learned about modern warfare the hard way in 1940. Now they are back, showing the world what the Italian soldier can do. Tough, determined, skilled, and aggressive veterans, the Italians broke through the British Gazala Line to save the trapped German Afrika Korps, held the line at El Alamein, and opened the way at Kasserine Pass, before holding up the American offensive at El Guettar. Fight or die for the new Roman Empire!

Today we are going to celebrate the release of Avanti as the Studio takes a look at some of the new models, shares some thoughts on what excites them about the new book, as well as getting some figures out to play another of our live Battle Reports straight from the NZ Offices.

Stay tuned for more. Avanti!

Know Your Italians - AA and Aircraft
Italian

It is hard to think about the North African campaign without thinking of the RAF and Luftwaffe flying above the sand, duelling it out. The army knew that they needed their own anti-aircraft assets and could pick from a heavy 90mm or the lighter 20mm cannon. You shouldn’t discount the efforts of the CR.42 Falco flown by the Regia Aeronautica.

In this video we take a look at the odd looking 90mm gun on the Lancia truck, the 20mm Autocannone and the CR.42 Falco biplane.
