Warbanner 2016 Report
|
Warbanner 2016 Report 8 - 9 October 2016, Napier, New Zealand. with Craig Ramsay
This was first time Flames Of War featured at Warbanner. But with Battlefront teaming up with local hobby supplier Jambo Games to sponsor the event, 21 keen Flames Of War enthusiasts from all over the North Island took part in this year’s 1625 point, Late-war competition.
Held over two days and contested over six rounds, the scenarios used were split into two of each type and featured Encounter, Hold the Line, Breakthrough, Dust Up, Cauldron and Surrounded. Each round lasted two and a half hours and used the standard Flames Of War seven point scoring system. Where trophies or prizes were concerned a low score wins; dice off to break ties.

Best painted was restricted to those who had painted at least 90% of their whole army with Graham Henderson taking the award. Best Sport was Chris Stewart and the Young Gun (the best young up and coming player) was Harry Bird. |
Below: Campbell's ‘Winter’ themed table. Campbell was unable to attend the event but was still kind enough to lend his terrain for the weekend. |

Special thanks to Battlefront for sponsoring this event in conjunction with Jambo Hobbies and those locals and travellers who assisted with the supply of tables, terrain, setting up and generally giving up there time to ensure this year’s Flames Of War Warbanner event was successful.
