Components Required For The T-34 Hull
I'll begin construction of the T-34 obr 1940 box set by demonstrating how to assemble the hull of the vehicle first. Of the three different variants of the T-34 that can be modelling using this box set, one thing they all have in common is the same hull configuration.

The components required to assemble the hull of the T-34 can be seen below highlighted in white on the sprues below.

Assembling The T-34 Hull

Step 1. Begin assembly of the T-34 hull by attaching the tracks to each side of the hull.

Below: Each track has been keyed to correspond with a particular side of the hull; this aids in ensuring the correct orientation of the tracks when assembling the miniature.

Tip: Although regular Hobby Glue can be used to assemble plastic vehicles, we recommend that you use good quality plastic cement instead. It gives the strongest bond when gluing plastic to plastic.

Tip: When referring to left or right-hand side in regards to a Flames Of War miniature, the orientation is determined as if looking at the vehicle from the rear.
Step 2. Next, attach the top section of the hull to the lower section. Step 3. Attach the left-hand side mudguard to the front of the hull.

T-34 Tankovy Company (SBX29)

The different between the three variants of the T-34 included in the box set all lay in the turret. More specically the different guns mounted in each version. You may have also noticed that the box set includes six resin turrets; why six? More on this later but let's begin by constructing a T-34 obr 1940 turret.

The components required to assemble the turret of the T-34 obr 1940 can be seen below and highlighted in white on the sprue on the left.

Components Required For The T-34 obr 1941 Turret

While the T-34 obr 1940 utilsed the 76mm F-11 gun, this weapon was later replaced by the much improved 76mm F-34 gun. This new combination was given the designation T-34 obr 1941.

The components required to assemble the turret of the T-34 obr 1941 can be seen below and highlighted in red, white, and blue on the sprue on the right.

Swapping The Turrets with Rare-earth Magnets
Also included in the box set are nine rare earth magnets. These are included so you can mix and match the turrets and hulls with ease. To do this, simply glue a rare-earth magnet into the recess in the bottom of the each turret and then glue another magnet into recess located on the top of the hulls. You now have a safe and secure way of attaching the turrets to the hulls and swapping them around quickly and easily.

A small number of T-34 obr 1941s were fitted with the 57mm ZIS-4 high velocity gun. While it outperformed the 76mm F-34 in armour peneration, the size of the projectile meant it wasn't as quite as effective firing high explosive (or HE) rounds.

The components required to assemble the turret of the T-34/57 obr 1941 can be seen below and highlighted in green, white, and blue on the sprue on the left.
