Trench Mortar Platoon (GFR715)

GFR715 Trench Mortars

Trench Mortar Platoon (GFR715)
Contains four 76mm Stokes mortar or 58mm Type 2 mortar teams.

German machine-gun nests and pillboxes are not the obstacle they once were due to our excellent collection of trench mortars. The British 76mm Stokes mortar can knock out strong points up close in the attack. The heavier 58mm Type 2 mortars will stay in our trench line or close behind it to knock out the most difficult of enemy positions.

1918 saw great changes in the warfare of the Western Front. Russia pulled out of the war, freeing thousands more German troops to push the Allies back huge distances. The Allied counteroffensives, with the new tanks, evolving tactics, and the arrival of the Americans, forced the Germans back towards their own borders and defeat.
