Casey's Das Reich from Equinox

For my Mid-war Das Reich army I decided to theme the army around captured T-34s. Rather than take support piecemeal from all over the division, my T-34s would only be supported by elements from the Aufklärungs Battalion, representing the spearhead of the German thrust supporting the reconnaissance.

At 315 points fully kitted out, they represent a large chunk of any army that I’ll ever field them in. With that in mind, I decided to base them on large bases to feature the Half-tracks (but still be removable). This gave me the opportunity to make the bases themselves more of a feature and give them a bit more presence on the table. For gaming purposes I marked the centre of the bases so that whenever they were dismounted only the front half of the base counted.

Now that I’ve got a complete SS army for Mid-war and Late-war, I guess I’ll have to do one for early war now.
